Spanning over 31 square miles (31.696 sq mi 82.092 km2) and boasting just over 6,500 residents (2010 census), Lebanon Township is a wonderful place to enjoy all the great outdoors has to offer.

From hunting and fishing, to horseback riding and cross-country skiing, you’ll find no shortage of outdoor activities in this open space township. Enjoy nearby parks and recreation, Teetertown Ravine and Nature Preserve, where you can be one with nature or enjoy a picnic with friends and family. Is boating more your style? Round Valley Reservoir is just a short drive and is known, not only for its spectacular views and landscapes (and scuba diving!), but for its interesting backstory as well. While outdoor exploration is the key to enjoying all that this wonderful township has to offer, Lebanon Township is easily accessible to Rt. 31 – and lots of great food and shopping. But it’s not all fun and games, sometimes we need to hit the books! The Lebanon Township School District provides education for residents of Lebanon Township in Kindergarten through eighth grade at twp district schools. Valley View Elementary School serves students in grades Kindergarten to four and the Woodglen School serves students in grades fifth through eighth. Public school students residing in Lebanon Township grades 9-12 attend Vorhees High School, a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.

Other area schools include The Willow School, a small independent coeducational day school for students preschool through eighth grade, Gill St. Bernards, a private, nonsectarian, coeducational, college preparatory day school, and The Purnell School, a progressive private all-girls boarding high school. Additionally, Immaculate Conception School, located at 314 Old Allerton Road in Annandale, is a private school option for students in pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade. The school operates under the supervision of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Metuchen and received the National Blue Ribbon Award of Academic Excellence in 2013.

If commuting to work is more your thing, by car, Lebanon Township is easily accessible from major highways and approximately 90 minutes from NYC, 45 minutes from Newark, and 60 minutes from Trenton. Lebanon Township’s train station, in Lebanon, is an approximate 100 minute commute to NYC. Additional nearby train stations include Annandale (100 minutes to NYC), High Bridge (120 minutes to NYC), and Whitehouse Station (100 minutes to NYC).
