While we’d all love to shop and eat all day long, sometimes we need to hit the books. The Somerset Hills School District serve students in Kindergarten through twelfth grade with three public school facilities. Students in Kindergarten through fourth grade attend the Bedwell Elementary School. Students in fifth through eighth grades attend the Bernardsville Middle School. Bernards High School serves students grades 9-12 in Bernardsville as well as in Far Hills, Bedminster, and Peapack Gladstone.
Other area schools include The Willow School, a small independent coeducational day school for students preschool through eighth grade, Gill St. Bernards, a private, nonsectarian, coeducational, college preparatory day school, and The Purnell School, a progressive private all-girls boarding high school.
Maybe commuting to work is more your thing? By car, Bernardsville is 75 minutes to NYC, 40 minutes to Newark, and 65 minutes to Trenton. Bernardsville’s train station is an approximate 105 minute commute to NYC. Other nearby train stations include Lyons (90 minutes to NYC), Basking Ridge (100 minutes to NYC), and Gladstone (110 minutes to NYC).
